Vishnu told Lomasa, “Each time the reign of one Brahma completes, you will shed one hair on your body. You will live as long as you have hair left on your body, allowing you to indulge in your heart’s desire of devotion to me.”
This boon not only granted Lomasa an exceedingly long lifespan—practically making him immortal—but also served to humble Brahma, whose lifespan is equivalent to 3 x 10¹⁴ years.
